SINGAPORE – In a dramatic turn of events, a lorry driver found himself trapped in the wreckage of his vehicle following a major accident that involved four vehicles on the TPE.

The chaotic scene unfolded around 5 PM on August 26, just past the Punggol Way exit, where a lorry collided with a van and two cars, causing significant disruption.

Heroic Rescue Efforts Save Lives

Thanks to the swift actions of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the driver was extricated from his seat using specialized hydraulic rescue equipment. What could have turned into a tragedy was averted by the quick response of rescuers.

Injuries But Hope: Victims on the Mend

The lorry driver, aged 30, along with five passengers—men ranging from 22 to 46—were all conscious when emergency teams arrived. They were promptly transported to local hospitals for treatment, with two heading to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and the others to Sengkang General Hospital.
