The study identified specific sweeteners linked to cognitive decline, including aspartame, saccharin, acesulfame K, erythritol, sorbitol, and xylitol. Participants in the highest tertiles of combined LNCS intake showed alarming declines in both memory and verbal fluency, regardless of diabetes status.
