In her post on the r/SGexams forum, the teenager expressed her deep frustration, stating, "They’ve never respected my privacy or even me as a person." She recounted a traumatic experience from age 12 when her parents removed the door from her bedroom to prevent her from locking it. This was not an isolated event; she revealed that her parents routinely inspect her phone, scrutinizing her messages on platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram, as well as monitoring her YouTube viewing history.

She mentioned that her parents prevented her from participating in group activities at school and instructed teachers and school counselors to watch her closely.
