In a deeply disturbing case that has drawn the attention of many, a 67-year-old man, Tham Weng Kee, has been sentenced to nine weeks in jail for stealing a woman’s underwear and sending her unsettling letters, accompanied by explicit photographs of himself wearing her stolen items. The Nightmare Begins

The nightmare began when the victim, who has not been named due to a court order, hung her laundry on a clothes rack outside her HDB flat. Between January and March 2023, Tham repeatedly took several of her undergarments, including a swimsuit and five pairs of underwear, without the woman’s awareness. It wasn’t until February 8 that Tham escalated his behavior by leaving a letter attached to the rack, filled with vulgar comments and explicit references to her body.

Shocking Twist

In a shocking twist, Tham went on to send the woman photographs of himself wearing her stolen underwear, which he claimed he had worn to work. His actions intensified with a second delivery of three more pictures a few days later, further aggravating the situation. Although the victim found the letters and images disgusting, she initially did not report the incidents to the police, feeling embarrassed and shy.
