Terrifying Accident in Tampines

In a harrowing incident on September 4, five individuals, including two young children aged six and nine, were rushed to the hospital following a shocking chain collision on Tampines Avenue 10.

Emergency Response and Victims

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) received alerts about the crash around 6:30 PM and quickly dispatched emergency services to the scene. Victims included a 60-year-old female driver, a 32-year-old male driver, and a 40-year-old man with his two passengers.

Three victims were transported to Changi General Hospital, while the children were taken to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Thankfully, all the injured were conscious during transportation.

Investigation Underway

The driver of the 60-year-old vehicle is currently assisting police with their investigation into the collision.

Dramatic footage circulating on social media reveals a white car veering into the second lane on Tampines Avenue 10, before crashing into a red car in the rightmost lane. This shocking video has raised concerns among local residents.

Rising Road Accident Statistics

This incident is particularly alarming as traffic accidents in Singapore have surged dramatically. According to recent Traffic Police data, there were 78 fatal accidents in the first half of 2025, up from 70 during the same period in 2024. Deaths increased from 72 to 79, while injury-causing incidents climbed from 3,437 to 3,740, leaving a total of 4,860 individuals injured.

As road safety continues to be a pressing issue, this latest accident serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for awareness and caution on the roads.
