Between February and June 2023, the accused reportedly distributed intimate recordings, fully aware that this would humiliate the victim. In a sinister twist, he later conspired with another teenager to extort an alarming S$2,450 by threatening to unveil videos of the victim performing sexual acts.

The web of deceit thickened when the main accused convinced the victim that a gang leader was demanding money from him. Fearful of ramifications, the victim forked over S$300, thinking it was a necessity to avoid danger.
