SINGAPORE – Brace yourselves! Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Panjang residents are at risk of flash floods as heavy rains are forecasted for the evening of April 29.

According to a warning from Singapore’s national water agency PUB, commuters are urged to steer clear of Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1 and the KJE slip road on Woodlands Road starting from approximately 5:45 PM, as these areas are particularly vulnerable.

The Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) forecasts persistent inter-monsoon conditions throughout the month of April, bringing short but intense thundery showers across the island. These storms may linger into the evening, causing further concerns for flash flooding.
