In a shocking revelation, former MBC producer Kim Jae Hwan has ignited a media firestorm by claiming that renowned celebrity chef Baek Jong Won maintained a "blocklist" targeting specific entertainers from appearing on television.

The explosive accusations surfaced during a video on the YouTube channel 'Studio Ohjaena,' titled "Baek Jong Won's airport arrival and exclusive interview revealed! Who did he remove from TV?" uploaded on May 13th KST.

According to Kim, Baek Jong Won took action to prevent popular singer Kim Ho Joong from appearing on an SBS variety show, branding it as part of his personal list of exclusions.

Kim recounted a tense moment when, during the filming of his show "Delicious Rendezvous" amid a bitter winter, Baek's friend informed him of Kim Ho Joong's appearance on SBS. This coincided with a challenging period for Baek's show, as it struggled against the blockbuster ratings of TV Chosun's hit "Mister Trot."

"Baek's attachment to 'Alley Restaurant' was evident. He exclaimed, 'I’m battling 'Mister Trot' for ratings, and you want to put someone from that show on SBS? That's unacceptable!'" Kim relayed.

In a twist of events, it is alleged that Baek made a stern phone call to SBS’s entertainment head, threatening to withdraw from all SBS projects if they continued to feature talent from "Mister Trot." The conversation reportedly ended with the SBS executive expressing regret, saying, 'I think our team didn’t understand the full context.'
