Revolutionizing EV Charging in Singapore!

In a groundbreaking move for eco-conscious drivers, City Energy has unveiled Singapore's very first app-free electric vehicle (EV) charging network. This innovative system allows drivers to charge their EVs without the tedious process of logging into an app or relying on mobile reception.

Charge Up Without the Hassle

The app-free charging system, aptly named AutoCharge, is currently operational at five strategic locations in Singapore: Pullman Singapore Hill Street, Klimt Cairnhill, Komo Shoppes, North Gaia, and North Park Residences. With a total of 124 charge points across the island, City Energy is making strides towards a more convenient charging experience.

"Our goal is straightforward: we want EV charging to feel as easy and natural as charging your smartphone," shares Mr. Perry Ong, CEO of City Energy.

Planning for the Future: A Network Expansion!

City Energy has ambitious plans to expand its EV charging network, Go by City Energy, to 248 charge points by 2028. Impressively, 20% of these will feature the AutoCharge system.

Going Beyond Borders with JomCharge

To elevate the charging experience further, City Energy has partnered with JomCharge, operated by Malaysian EV Connection. This collaboration allows Singaporean EV drivers registered with AutoCharge on the City Energy Go app to seamlessly charge their cars in Malaysia, where over 200 AutoCharge-enabled stations are available in cities like Johor, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang.

Investing Big in Tomorrow's Green Tech

The rollout of AutoCharge comes as part of City Energy's staggering $100 million investment into expanding charging infrastructure across private and commercial sites by the end of 2030. This effort seeks to deliver a smooth and user-friendly charging experience for EV drivers.

Say Goodbye to Multiple Apps!

No more fumbling around with multiple apps for different charging networks! Traditionally, EV drivers have had to navigate various apps to initiate charging, often struggling with poor mobile connectivity—especially in underground parking facilities. With AutoCharge, users simply register their vehicle once on the City Energy Go app, and that's it. Just plug in the charger and watch the magic happen! No apps, no QR codes—just pure convenience.

Streamlined Charging for Everyone

Once registered, users can charge their vehicles simply by plugging in the DC (direct current) connector. Family members can also charge the vehicle without needing any apps. Plus, drivers will receive push notifications via the City Energy Go app when their vehicle is fully charged.

Compatibility and Future Plans

Currently, AutoCharge is compatible with popular EV brands, including BYD, Tesla, Aion, MG, and Chery, with plans to work with even more carmakers in the future to broaden compatibility.

The AutoCharge feature is exclusively available at Go by City Energy’s DC fast chargers, ensuring that drivers enjoy the fastest charging experience possible.
