SINGAPORE - Get ready for a sweet revolution! French pastry maestro Pierre Hermé, often celebrated as the “Picasso of pastry” by Vogue, is bringing his iconic macaron creations to Singapore. Slated to open in 2025, his two-storey boutique will be located at the highly anticipated Resorts World Sentosa (RWS).
At this delightful new location, pastry lovers can indulge in signature treats such as the exquisite Ispahan—a rose, lychee, and raspberry creation that has captured the hearts of connoisseurs worldwide. And if that’s not enough to entice you, don’t miss the Macaron Mogador, a sensational union of milk chocolate and vibrant passion fruit. The boutique will also feature an ice cream bar boasting a mouthwatering selection of 15 ice cream and sorbet flavors, along with a tempting assortment of brioches, bubble tea, and artisanal coffee.
The Hermé boutique is part of the innovative Weave lifestyle cluster within RWS, which seeks to redefine the dining and shopping landscape in Singapore. This ambitious project will gradually open from mid-2025 and encompass over 20,000 square meters of space—double the area previously occupied by the Forum. With more than 40 dining and lifestyle brands set to join, Weave promises to become a hub of culinary exploration and artistic expression.
But that’s just the beginning! The construction is a key part of a grand $6.8 billion waterfront development, which aims to elevate RWS into a premier tourist destination by 2030. This includes exciting additions such as a Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Singapore, a striking 88-meter-high mountain trail, and the development of two new hotels featuring a total of 700 guest rooms.
At the Maison Pierre Hermé Paris, guests will be transported into a luxurious world of haute patisserie, where Hermé plans to unveil special creations tailored to the Singapore palate. “Singapore is a leading gastronomic destination, where high standards and refinement resonate,” a spokesperson shared. “Our flagship Maison at Weave reflects our commitment to offering a bold and unforgettable customer experience.”
In addition to Hermé’s boutique, Weave will host culinary talents such as three-Michelin-starred chef Paul Pairet, who will be unveiling two unique dining concepts: an avant-garde ice cream parlour and a French restaurant that promises grilled meats, hearty quiches, mouth-watering stews, and decadent charcuterie boards.
Other exciting newcomers to the Singapore food scene at Weave include Peking Chamber from China, serving up mouth-watering Peking duck, and South Korea’s Standard Bread, renowned for their delectable crème brûlée French toast and unique layerable tissue bread.
Culinary legends aside, Weave will also include beloved local favorites like Chatterbox, offering its renowned Mandarin Chicken Rice, as well as casual dining options featuring local dishes such as laksa and char kway teow.
Designed by the esteemed international firm Benoy, Weave will showcase lush indoor landscaping across its three levels, creating an immersive environment for guests. Tan Hee Teck, Chief Executive of RWS, noted that Weave represents a significant milestone in realizing their vision to 'redefine premium and lifestyle experiences in one seamless environment.'
So circle your calendars, sweet tooth aficionados! A new era of gastronomic delight is just around the corner, promising an integration of flavor, creativity, and elegance at one of Singapore’s most sought-after destinations. Prepare for a journey into the enchanting world of Pierre Hermé and a feast for your senses!
