Japanese soccer sensation Ritsu Doan has expressed his determination to increase his scoring contributions after Freiburg's recent goalless draw against Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. At 26 years old, Doan has emerged as Freiburg’s leading scorer this season but felt he fell short during the match held at the prestigious Stadion An der Alten Forsterei.

Despite showcasing his usual skill with promising touches, Doan was unable to add to his four league goals, highlighting the fierce contest between two of Germany’s most solid defensive teams. The draw surprisingly allowed Freiburg to temporarily secure fourth place in the league standings, accumulating 17 points from five wins, two draws, and three losses.

Reflecting on the outcome, Doan stated, "It's a disappointing result for me as an attacking player. I have to do more." His frustrations were evident as he acknowledged that due to his status as a key offensive player for Freiburg, he is frequently subjected to heavier marking by opponents. He emphasized the importance of teamwork in overcoming defensive setups, stressing that collective effort is crucial in breaking down opposing defenses.
