In a passionate plea, Rio Ferdinand has called on INEOS to pull out all the stops and secure a deal for Victor Osimhen, one of the world's elite strikers, before he signs elsewhere.

The clock is ticking, as Osimhen is reportedly on the brink of a permanent move to Galatasaray, following a standout loan season in Turkey. This has left Ferdinand, the former Manchester United captain, frustrated.

Throughout the summer, Manchester United has been linked with Osimhen, especially after being turned down by Liam Delap and recognizing Viktor Gyokeres' preference for Arsenal. However, once again, United's interest seems to have stalled.

While discussions took place last week, Osimhen rejected United's proposal to take a pay cut. Instead, he appears set to accept an even more lucrative offer from Galatasaray.

Osimhen had a phenomenal loan season, racking up 37 goals in 41 matches and helping Galatasaray clinch the Super Lig and Turkish Cup titles. His career stats are equally impressive: 151 goals in 264 appearances.

Ferdinand's Disappointment Over Potential Miss

Ferdinand's frustration is palpable. He believes Osimhen could have transformed Manchester United's struggling attack, and he’s implored the club to intervene in the negotiations with Galatasaray.

"I’ve been saying this for a while; Osimhen is the player we need," Ferdinand insisted on talkSPORT. "For a mere £50 million, you can land a world-class striker. It's a steal in today’s market. I'll be seriously disappointed if he ends up at Galatasaray for that kind of money, especially when United is in desperate need of a No. 9."

He also expressed concern about potentially missing out on Gyokeres if a striker is not acquired. "But if we get Osimhen, I’d be much less worried," he concluded, emphasizing the urgency of signing a top forward.
