His first initiative at Playground involves taking on the role of executive chairman at xLight, which is innovating a novel type of laser designed to produce extreme ultra-violet light with much greater energy efficiency than existing lasers used in lithography machines by ASML Holding, the industry leader. This development could not only increase the output of silicon chips but also enhance their performance—an evolution that resonates with the principles of Moore's Law, proposed by Intel co-founder Gordon Moore.
