SINGAPORE: In a bold move to invigorate their campaign, the People’s Action Party (PAP) has rolled out an exciting lineup for the Chua Chu Kang Group Representation Constituency (GRC). Among the fresh faces are Jeffrey Siow and Choo Pei Ling, who aim to bring their unique experiences to the table.

Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong will lead this dynamic team, alongside incumbent MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim. Mr. Siow, a former senior civil servant, and Dr. Choo, an assistant professor at the Singapore Institute of Technology, bring impressive credentials that promise to enhance community service.

Meet Jeffrey Siow: Champion of Change

At 47, Jeffrey Siow boasts a rich background in public service, having served as the chief operating officer of Enterprise Singapore and as principal private secretary to former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. With a robust understanding of government operations, Siow is eager to channel his experience into addressing residents' needs directly.

"Coming from humble beginnings, I have a unique perspective on the struggles many face. My mission in politics is to ensure that every resident can maximize government policies to improve their lives," Siow declared passionately.

Choo Pei Ling: Your Caring Community Advocate

At just 38, Dr. Choo Pei Ling represents a new wave of compassionate leadership. A neuroscientist and physiotherapist, she has dedicated over 20 years to community service and education. Dr. Choo is now focused on building connections in Chua Chu Kang, spotlighting the blend of established estates and vibrant young families.

"It’s not about where you start, but the impact you can make. My aim is to be a community builder, listening to residents and fostering a supportive environment," she said with conviction.

Current MP Don Wee, who made his political debut in 2020, will not be defending his seat this time around. Additionally, Senior Minister of State Amy Khor will also step down, paving the way for these fresh faces to lead the community.
