The company delivered an astonishing 31,138 vehicles, marking a significant milestone as the first instance where monthly deliveries surpassed 30,000 units. This impressive achievement not only signifies a substantial year-on-year increase of 72.87% from 18,012 vehicles delivered in December of the previous year but also represents a 51.34% growth from November’s figures.

Detailed Breakdown of Deliveries

Breaking down the numbers, the Nio main brand contributed 20,610 vehicles to the tally in December, reflecting a 14.42% increase compared to the same month in the prior year and up by 33.03% from November. Meanwhile, the Onvo sub-brand, which had been ramping up for action with the debut of its L60 SUV model, delivered 10,528 vehicles, showcasing a staggering 107.16% increase from 5,082 units in the preceding month.

Fourth Quarter Achievements

Looking at the fourth quarter as a whole, Nio Inc delivered a record 72,689 vehicles, aligning with its guidance forecast of 72,000 to 75,000 units. This represented a 45.25% increase from the same quarter the previous year and a 17.52% increase from the third quarter. The Nio main brand accounted for 52,760 of these deliveries, while the Onvo sub-brand saw a dramatic rise from just 832 deliveries in the third quarter to 19,929 in the fourth.

Yearly Growth Figures

For the entire year of 2024, Nio Inc delivered 221,970 vehicles, a remarkable growth of 38.70% year-on-year. This included 201,209 from the Nio main brand—up by 25.73%—and 20,761 vehicles from Onvo.

Cumulative Deliveries and Future Outlook

Cumulatively, Nio's deliveries since its inception have reached a staggering 671,564 vehicles, highlighting the growing demand and acceptance of electric vehicles. Looking ahead, Nio has ambitious plans to double its deliveries to approximately 440,000 units by 2025, buoyed by new product launches and a shift into a faster growth phase.

The company recently unveiled its Firefly brand during Nio Day 2024 on December 21, along with its first model, igniting excitement in the market.
