Founded in 2021, the Israel-based startup is challenging the conventional wisdom of the semiconductor industry. NeoLogic is crafting a server CPU utilizing streamlined logic—meaning fewer transistors and logic gates—enabling faster processing with significantly reduced power consumption.
With a combined 50 years of experience in chip technology, Messica and Leshem are no strangers to the industry. Formerly affiliated with giants like Intel and Synopsys, they recognized that Moore's Law—the idea that chip transistor counts double biennially—had hit a wall.
Aiming for 2027: Testing and Partnerships
Despite the naysayers, NeoLogic is on a mission. Currently collaborating with two unnamed hyperscaler partners, the company aims to unveil a single-core test chip by the end of this year, aspiring to integrate its revolutionary CPUs into data centers by 2027.
Funding the Future of Power-Efficient Data Centers
NeoLogic recently secured a substantial $10 million in Series A funding, spearheaded by KOMPAS VC, with additional backing from M Ventures, Maniv Mobility, and lool Ventures. This financial influx will bolster their engineering team and expedite CPU development—just in time, as data centers face an impending energy crisis fueled by the surging AI boom.
