In a powerful address on April 24, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed to track down those behind a horrific attack in Kashmir that claimed the lives of 26 individuals, asserting that India will pursue the perpetrators to 'the ends of the Earth.'

This tragic incident, which occurred in the popular tourist destination of Pahalgam, marks the deadliest assault on civilians in the region since the year 2000.

Modi stated emphatically, "I say to the whole world: India will identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backers." His remarks came just days after the attack, highlighting the government's resolve to bring justice swiftly and decisively.

The victims included 26 Indians and one Nepali, amplifying international concerns over security in the volatile region. Following the attack, India accused Pakistan of supporting cross-border terrorism and responded with significant diplomatic measures, including downgrading bilateral relations.

Amidst the rising tensions, India suspended a longstanding river-sharing agreement with Pakistan—a move Pakistan's Power Minister condemned as an act of 'water warfare.'
