A 3.5 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Krabi
In an unexpected jolt, a minor earthquake rattled the tambon Khlong Khamao area of Nuea Khlong district in southern Thailand this Monday afternoon.
The seismic event, registering a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale, struck at a depth of two kilometers, catching residents off guard at precisely 2:27 PM.
Felt Across Districts
Residents in both Nuea Khlong and Muang districts experienced the tremor, with many expressing their surprise as they felt the ground shake beneath them.
A Busy Day for Earthquake Activity!
Earlier that same day, the Earthquake Observation Division reported a stronger quake hitting Myanmar at 4.2 magnitude, ten kilometers deep. This tremor’s epicenter was located 136 kilometers southwest of Mae Sariang in northern Thailand.
