SINGAPORE – A chaotic scene unfolded on the Central Expressway (CTE) on May 4 as a multi-car accident involving five vehicles brought traffic to a grinding halt. Eyewitness reports detail the aftermath of the crash, which left one woman, a 34-year-old passenger, requiring urgent medical attention.

As the incident occurred around 5:30 PM, first responders, including the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force, quickly arrived at the scene, poised to handle the unfolding crisis. The injured passenger was conscious as she was transported to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Dramatic footage shared online highlights the dire situation, showing congestion backing up as far as the eye could see, while the two right-most lanes remained blocked by wrecked vehicles. The collision involved two cars positioned diagonally across the roadway; one had smashed into the road divider, while the other displayed extensive damage to its rear end.
