Attention Motorists: West Coast Highway Closure Ahead!
Get ready for a brief but impactful road closure on the West Coast Highway as construction kicks off on a new pedestrian overhead bridge! From the night of September 2 through September 5, a significant section will be off-limits to traffic.
Where and When Will This Happen?
The affected stretch lies between the junctions of West Coast Link and Pandan Crescent. Work will commence at 11 PM on each of those nights and will last until 5 AM the following morning. Mark your calendars and plan accordingly!
What Should Drivers Do?
To navigate around the closure, drivers are encouraged to take alternative routes via West Coast Link and West Coast Road. But fear not—one lane will still remain open specifically for public buses until the last bus service ends, ensuring minimal disruption for commuters. Access to Pandan Crescent will also remain unimpeded.
Safety First: What to Expect!
During this time, barricades and diversion signs will be strategically placed to guide you through the detours. The Housing Development Board (HDB) urges all motorists to drive with caution and adhere strictly to the posted information signs.
Looking Ahead: A Bridge to Better Connectivity!
Once completed in March 2026, this new overhead bridge will greatly enhance connectivity for residents, offering a sheltered path to West Coast Park as well as access to bus services along the highway. The bridge will also feature accessibility enhancements such as ramps and lifts.
Stay tuned, stay safe, and get ready for a smoother, more connected journey in the future!
