In a surprising twist as the transfer window draws to a close, Liverpool has confirmed the departure of Kostas Tsimikas, who will join Serie A club AS Roma on a season-long loan.

With Andy Robertson facing interest from Atletico Madrid but ultimately remaining at the club, Liverpool finds itself with three left-backs on the roster. Tsimikas, however, has yet to make a matchday squad under manager Arne Slot this season.

A club statement confirmed that Tsimikas, who has been with Liverpool since joining from Olympiacos in 2020, made a significant impact during his time with the team, featuring in 115 matches and clinching numerous trophies including the Premier League and the FA Cup.
