Hurry! Just One Week Left to Use Your CDC Vouchers Before They Expire!
SINGAPORE – Attention, residents! Time is running out for those holding onto CDC vouchers received earlier this year. If you received vouchers totaling $800 in 2024, split into $500 distributed in January and $300 in June, you have approximately one week left to redeem them before they expire on December 31, 2024.
These valuable vouchers can be spent at a variety of locations including participating hawker centers, local businesses, and supermarkets, helping to support the community and local economy. Look for the teal or yellow CDC voucher decals prominently displayed at participating merchants to ensure your vouchers are accepted.
And remember, if you find yourself with unused vouchers, there's still hope! You can donate them to an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) until January 31, 2025. For a list and details regarding the IPCs that are participating, check out the official CDC website.
The CDC voucher scheme was initially launched back in June 2020 to assist lower-income households during the pandemic’s impact on daily finances. It was later expanded in December 2021 to include all households as a gesture of gratitude for the resilience shown by Singaporeans and to help promote recovery among local businesses.
Recent reports have revealed that from December 2021 to the end of 2024, this initiative is projected to generate a whopping $900 million in spending at local hawkers and heartland businesses. Thus far, nearly $650 million has already been injected into these local economies thanks to the scheme.
Don't let your vouchers go to waste—make sure to use them before it's too late!
