In a bold move poised to reshape the landscape of radio technology, Holger Schlegel has officially stepped into the role of managing director at PLATH Signal Products. Starting September 1, 2025, he will be leading the Hamburg-based firm alongside industry stalwart Tronje Schneider-Pungs.

Schlegel is no newcomer to the world of telecommunications. He brings an impressive track record with years of experience in both specialist and management roles. His most recent position saw him as the managing director and chief operating officer at the Innovation Centre for Telecommunications (IZT) for four years. There, he made waves by expanding key business areas in radio surveillance and communications, keeping innovation at the forefront.

Steering Innovation Forward!

During his time at IZT, Schlegel was the driving force behind product development, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge technologies and high-quality software solutions in the competitive sphere of radio surveillance. His earlier experience as head of radio surveillance for 13 years, coupled with leadership roles at the BBC in London and the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits, has fine-tuned his expertise.
