A Major Milestone for Vietnam Airlines
In an exciting development for travelers, the national flag carrier of Vietnam has officially launched its first commercial flight from the stunning new Terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. This is just the beginning of a strategic plan to transition all domestic flights to this state-of-the-art terminal, promising a more convenient, speedy, and comfortable journey for passengers.
What to Expect at Terminal T3?
By the end of April, Vietnam Airlines will fully operate all its domestic services from Terminal T3, with a few exceptions connecting to Con Dao, Ca Mau, and Rach Gia, which will remain at Terminal T1. The budget carrier, Vietjet Air, is also set to make its move to the new terminal in the near future.
Navigating the New Terminal Made Easy
Accessing Terminal T3 is a breeze, with the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) providing clear traffic guidance for passengers. This brand-new terminal is conveniently situated apart from the older Terminals T1 and T2, designed to streamline the travel experience.
A Grand Investment for the Future
With a hefty investment of nearly VND 11 trillion (approximately US$425 million), Terminal T3 stands as a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification. It’s not just a terminal; it’s a monumental project aimed at enhancing Vietnam’s aviation landscape.
The Largest Domestic Terminal in Vietnam!
Capable of accommodating a staggering 20 million passengers annually, Terminal T3 is set to become the largest domestic terminal in Vietnam. It boasts four key components: the passenger terminal, a multi-story parking structure integrated with non-aviation services, an elevated road system for terminal access, and dedicated aircraft aprons.
Relief for Busy Terminals Ahead!
This new facility is expected to alleviate congestion at Terminal T1 and complement the construction of the upcoming Long Thanh Airport in Dong Nai province. Exciting times lie ahead for travelers in Vietnam, with the promise of a smoother and more efficient airport experience!
