A coalition of virologists from the Global Virus Network (GVN) has raised serious concerns about the dramatic resurgence of measles cases in the United States and worldwide. This alarming trend, they warn, stems from declining vaccination rates and threatens to undo decades of public health progress.

Measles: A Highly Contagious Virus on the Rise

Measles, notorious for being one of the most contagious viruses known to humankind, is making a troubling comeback across the U.S. Recent data shows the highest number of cases recorded in the past three decades, with approximately 1,300 confirmed cases across 40 states this year alone.
