In a recent YouTube live stream on April 4, 2023, rapper Gil took a bold stand to quash rumors of a feud with his former Leessang partner, Gary. With an unmistakable sense of camaraderie, he declared that there is unequivocally "no bad blood" between them!
Appearing in a video titled "(Gil-parasite Ep.1) Gil is back, with the crazy PDs lol," he surprised fans by crashing the live broadcast of a female BJ (streamer) in a series of antics that highlight his playful personality.
During the stream, a lively exchange unfolded when viewers prompted Gil to showcase his singing skills. Obligingly, he even belted out G-Dragon's popular track "POWER," remarking, "I do everything I’m told!" When a viewer jokingly advised him to steer clear of alcohol, Gil humorously agreed, adding, "Right? I think so too. I just shouldn’t drive." He also reassured fans that he has given up drinking.
As the conversation turned to rumors of discord with Gary, a viewer directly questioned him about their supposed rift. Gil responded decisively, stating, "No, there’s nothing like that between us," and calmly acknowledged that he was aware of the circulating gossip.
When fans requested a performance of "Leessang Blues," he eagerly complied, maintaining his lighthearted tone, saying, "I do whatever people ask." This playful spirit reflects the rapport he shares with his audience.
Gil and Gary first exploded onto the scene as the hip-hop duo Leessang in 2002, captivating listeners with their unique sound. However, Gil's personal struggles, including multiple DUI incidents, led to a pause in their collaboration and eventual unofficial disbandment. As recently as 2022, Gil teased the possibility of a reunion to celebrate their 20th anniversary, but Gary quickly doused those flames, stating, "Not true. We’ve disbanded." This response fueled speculation about tensions between the two.
Despite the swirling rumors, Gil’s recent statements emphasize a harmonious relationship with Gary, proving that sometimes, the rumors are just that—rumors!
