2024-09-23

Les Amis Group Introduces Torijin

Les Amis Group, the culinary powerhouse known for their renowned dining establishments such as the three Michelin-starred Les Amis and popular Peperoni Pizzeria, is set to make waves in Singapore’s food scene with the launch of Torijin, an exciting new fast-casual Japanese restaurant. Mark your calendars for October 1, 2024, as this no pork, no lard eatery opens its doors at the Shaw Centre!

A Cozy Setting for Ramen and Donburi Lovers

So, what can you expect at Torijin? The restaurant, whose name derives from the Japanese word for chicken ("tori"), will feature a cozy setting with 40 seats, welcoming ramen lovers and donburi enthusiasts alike. It takes over the previous location of Tenjin, the group’s tempura donburi brand, which has now relocated to the first floor of the mall.

A Menu Crafted by Culinary Experts

The dishes at Torijin are the brainchild of esteemed Japanese chef Kawasaki Shimpei, the executive chef behind Les Amis Group's other Japanese offerings, Tenjin and Sushi Jin. Expect a delightful array of ramen options that include house-made broths like Tori Shoyu and Shio Yuzu, cooked with flavorful mature hens, Hokkaido rishiri kombu, ginger, and leeks. For those who crave something rich and creamy, there's also a chicken paitan broth simmered with root vegetables and mushrooms.

With prices aimed to please the wallets of foodies, the signature ramen bowls are all priced under S$15 (approximately US$11). Signature selections such as Tori Shoyu (S$12.80), Shio Yuzu (S$13.80), and Paitan (S$14.80) come with thin Hakata-style noodles, delectable house-made chicken chashu, menma (Japanese bamboo shoots), a soft aji tamago with a runny yolk, and crispy nori sheets. And for ramen fanatics, don’t miss the chance to elevate your bowl with delicious add-ons like sweet corn and torched mozzarella at just S$2 each.

Tantalizing Donburi and Tempting Sides

Rice lovers will rejoice in offerings like the Tori Chashu Don and Tori Karaage Don, both priced at S$12.80. As with the ramen, customers can further customize their donburi with toppings like mozzarella and tartar mayonnaise to make them even more indulgent!

And if you're after small bites, Torijin has got you covered with chicken-centric side dishes such as truffle corn (S$2), fruit juice-marinated tori karaage (S$6.80 for three pieces), and mouth-watering tori gyoza (S$4.80 for three pieces) filled with chicken, cabbage, and garlic chives. Plus, to celebrate its grand opening, Torijin will run a month-long promotion from October 1 to 31, where you can enjoy a one-for-one offer on tori karaage and tori gyoza — the perfect excuse to bring a friend!
