Excitement is brewing as the highly anticipated Apple event draws near, with leaks suggesting that the iPhone 17 lineup will pack a serious power punch! According to insider @ShrimpApplePro, all models slated for launch – the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max – are set to offer larger batteries, although the ultrathin iPhone 17 Air will see a decrease in battery capacity.

In a stunning upgrade, the iPhone 17 Pro is rumored to boast a whopping 18.7% increase in battery capacity, jumping from 3,582 mAh to an impressive 4,252 mAh. This uptick could translate to several extra hours of video playback, building on the previous iPhone 16 Pro's already notable performance.

Tech influencer Austin Evans, who commands a following of 5.7 million on YouTube, expressed his excitement, declaring the Pro Max could become the ultimate "battery champ"—if Apple enhances its cooling system. However, he’s left with a few lingering questions about the iPhone 17 Air.

"The sleek design is certainly going to attract some buyers," Evans noted. "For everyday users, it might provide adequate battery life, especially with the help of Apple's efficient C1 modem, but it may also require users to invest in a MagSafe battery bank for peace of mind."

Having experienced the benefits of a slim design with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, Evans shared his admiration for how an ultraslim phone feels, emphasizing that the tactile sensation is something one has to experience to fully appreciate.

Notably, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is also rumored to exceed the remarkable 5,000 mAh barrier for the first time, boasting a capacity of 5,088 mAh. This leap could result in three to four additional hours of use compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Interestingly, the models equipped with eSIM slots are expected to have larger batteries than those using traditional SIM trays. However, these eSIM devices will be available exclusively in China and special markets, while U.S. customers have had access to eSIM-only devices since the iPhone 14 launch.

Stay tuned as we unveil more details and specifications about this exciting new lineup as the event unfolds!
