Exciting News for Overwatch 2 Fans!
Mark your calendars! Starting August 26 with the launch of Season 18, Overwatch 2 is introducing a game-changing feature for console players—you’ll soon be able to use a keyboard and mouse (KBM)!
A New Way to Play!
In an official announcement, the Overwatch 2 team revealed that they will revamp matchmaking pools. Players using KBM on consoles will be matched up against other KBM players and, interestingly, PC gamers as well! Meanwhile, those sticking with traditional controllers will be placed in their own separate pool.
What You Need to Know!
If you choose to switch to the KBM pool, your matchmaking rating (MMR), skill ratings, and ranks will not carry over from the Controller Pool. This means that you'll be starting fresh in terms of stats.
One important detail: KBM players won’t enjoy the aim assist advantage that controller users benefit from, so make sure your skills are sharp!
Ready to Switch?
To dive into this new experience, simply accept the prompt that appears or head to the Gameplay Options menu to manually switch to the KBM pool. Are you ready to take on the competition with a new set of controls?
The Future of Overwatch Awaits!
With this exciting update, Overwatch 2 continues to evolve, offering players more flexibility in how they experience the game. Whether you're a console warrior or a PC pro, this new feature could change the way you play. Get ready for an electrifying gaming experience in Season 18!
