Famous local actors Pierre Png and Cynthia Koh share a long and colorful history dating back to their teenage years. Their journey began in 2003 when they took to the small screen as siblings Yangyang and Yanyan in the beloved series Holland V. Over the years, they've portrayed couples ranging from spouses to ex-partners, albeit humorously skipping the girlfriend-boyfriend phase.

The Thrill of a New Role in Decalcomania

Now, in a thrilling new series titled Decalcomania, Pierre and Cynthia reunite once again to play a husband-and-wife duo. This upcoming production is a cross-border collaboration between Singapore and Thailand, bringing a fresh storyline to their on-screen chemistry.

Pierre takes on the role of Mark, a devoted policeman who becomes the emotional target for his assertive wife, Sue, portrayed by Cynthia. As she manages a restaurant alongside her bitter mother, suspicion looms when Granny Lu suspects Mark of an affair with socialite Leia.

A Trip Down Memory Lane

In an exclusive interview on the set of Decalcomania, the duo fondly reminisced about their first encounter at a water theme park in their mid-teens. "My first thought was, ‘Wow, who is this girl?’" Pierre recalled, laughing as he described how he tagged along with a friend who was smitten with Cynthia.

Cynthia, recalling her side of the story, mentioned how she and her friend would often encounter Pierre and his buddy Daniel near her convent school. Their outing to the water park marked a significant moment, even though Cynthia amusingly admitted she didn’t get Pierre’s number because she wasn’t interested at the time.

From Convent School to Stardom

Their paths crossed again years later at the Fame Awards, where Pierre was crowned the winner in 1998, while Cynthia had already made her mark in showbiz since 1992. This long-standing history adds a unique layer of chemistry to their current collaboration.

As they step back into the roles of husband and wife, Cynthia expressed her gratitude for their well-established rapport. "Working with someone I've built chemistry with over the years means we can hit the ground running despite tight shooting schedules. Decalcomania's Intriguing Concept

Decalcomania presents a fascinating twist with its plot of two women, both portrayed by Thai actress Mookda Narinrak, who inexplicably swap souls after a car accident. As Neungdeaw, a tough nightclub owner from Bangkok, and Leia, a sheltered Singaporean socialite, navigate each other’s vastly different worlds, the series promises suspense and excitement.

Fans can anticipate the thrilling premiere of Decalcomania on Thailand’s One31 TV channel and streaming on the OneD app in December 2025, with a subsequent broadcast scheduled for Singapore on Mewatch.
