Battling Doubt and Despair

After completing his military service in 2019, Jung returned only to find the K-Pop industry shaken by the COVID-19 pandemic. Faced with personal and professional challenges, he struggled to promote his music as his agency floundered.

Feeling lost and increasingly demoralized, he revealed, "I couldn’t do anything but endure it, and as time went on, my self-esteem dropped lower and lower. I even thought, 'Maybe I should quit being a singer.'" The harsh reality hit him as he navigated life outside music.

The Void Beyond Music

While trying to make ends meet with part-time jobs and furthering his education, Jung reflected on his time away from the stage. He described it as a lifeless existence, sharing, "When I worked in other fields, I didn’t feel alive... the world felt black and white."
