In a heartfelt confession on the popular show *You Quiz on the Block*, Park Hyung Sik, the beloved idol-turned-actor, opened up about the bullying and hardships he faced during his trainee days before making his mark in the entertainment industry. Known for his impressive acting skills and undeniable charisma, Park's journey was not as glamorous as it appears today.

Surprisingly, Park Hyung Sik initially had no aspirations of becoming an idol. His entry into the music world happened by chance when he joined a middle school band, which led him to win an award and receive a casting call that would alter his future forever. Reflecting on those early days, he remarked, "At first, I had no dreams of entering the entertainment industry. I thought it was a completely different world from mine.”

However, the harsh reality of trainee life quickly set in. Park described how he was often ostracized by fellow trainees who had more conventional pathways into the industry through rigorous auditions. Feeling misunderstood, he spent much of his time isolated, honing his musical talents to prove himself worthy. "I thought trainee life was all about competition, picking sides, and bullying," he related. “I decided to focus on doing well on my own."

Things started to shift positively once he joined ZE:A. The camaraderie among the group members fostered a supportive atmosphere, helping Park transition from his lonely training days into a more inclusive environment. He fondly recalls, “The ZE:A members brought me from the dark into the light…We ate together and joked around, and I remember gradually opening up again.”

Yet, life as a trainee was riddled with challenges. Park described the cramped living conditions shared with nine members, where they all had to fit into one car, and the logistical nightmare of sharing a small room with bunk beds and a single bathroom. “We woke up 2 hours earlier, and it was a race against time every morning,” he laughed, reminiscing about the chaotic but humorous part of their daily routine.

Transitioning from an idol to an actor has not been entirely seamless either. Park acknowledged his initial lack of formal training in acting, stating, "From a young age, I heard people say, ‘You have no talent,’ and while I internalized that, my determination only grew." Despite the doubts he faced, he continued to immerse himself in the craft, which has culminated in significant successes in recent years, including leading roles in popular dramas like *Strong Woman Do Bong-soon* and *Suits*.

As Park Hyung Sik's journey continues, he stands not just as a symbol of resilience but as an inspiration for aspiring artists everywhere. His story is a powerful reminder that the path to success is often fraught with challenges, but with determination and a little help from friends, it can lead to shining achievements.
