Shielding the Vulnerable: Influenza Vaccination Drive in Tak

In an urgent health initiative, over 7,000 doses of the Influenza vaccine are up for grabs in Tak Province! This proactive measure targets seven high-risk groups, focusing on three significant flu strains for the upcoming 2025 season.

Since May 1, local clinics in Mueang district have been administering these free vaccines, with the campaign running through August 31 or until supplies last, as confirmed by the Somdejphrajaotaksin Maharaj Hospital.

Who Should Get Vaccinated?

The following individuals are strongly advised to take advantage of this free vaccination process: adults aged 65 and older, children under five years, pregnant women, and those with chronic conditions like heart disease and diabetes. Additionally, individuals with weakened immune systems, including those living with HIV, and anyone classified as obese (with a BMI of 40 kg/m² or higher) fall under this high-risk category.

Healthcare workers and residents in communal living settings, such as nursing homes and long-term care facilities, are also urged to secure their vaccinations.

Where and When to Get Your Vaccine?

You can get your flu shot for free between 1–3 PM at several Taksin Primary Care Cluster clinics located in Hua Diad, Rahang, Nong Luang, and Chiang Ngoen sub-districts. Additional vaccination events are planned, including: Ban Khlong Khayang Phrong Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital on May 14-15 and various other Health Promoting Hospitals in sub-districts such as Baan Lansang (May 15), Chalad (May 20), Banthamaidang (May 20), and Ban Pak Huai Mae Tho (May 21).

Further announcements regarding additional health facilities in Tak City will be made for late May or early June. Stay connected for updates!
