SINGAPORE - In an urgent update from the national water agency PUB, residents near the junction of Riverside Road and Admiralty Road are being warned of potential flash floods due to heavy rainfall on June 28.

PUB sounded the alarm via social media around 2pm, advising locals to steer clear of the area for at least the next hour as rain continues to pour.

Earlier, at approximately 1:35pm, PUB forecasted that heavy downpours were expected across northern, eastern, and central regions of Singapore from 1:45pm to 2:25pm.

This stark warning follows predictions from the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS), which has noted that residents can expect sporadic, thundery showers throughout the latter half of June. MSS anticipates several rainy days ahead, along with occasional fairer and breezy conditions.

Despite all the rain, the forecast indicates that total rainfall will likely remain below average for most areas across the island, leading to unpredictable weather patterns.
