Brace for Flash Floods Near Riverside Road!
SINGAPORE - In an urgent update from the national water agency PUB, residents near the junction of Riverside Road and Admiralty Road are being warned of potential flash floods due to heavy rainfall on June 28.
PUB sounded the alarm via social media around 2pm, advising locals to steer clear of the area for at least the next hour as rain continues to pour.
Earlier, at approximately 1:35pm, PUB forecasted that heavy downpours were expected across northern, eastern, and central regions of Singapore from 1:45pm to 2:25pm.
Stormy Weather Patterns Ahead!
This stark warning follows predictions from the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS), which has noted that residents can expect sporadic, thundery showers throughout the latter half of June. MSS anticipates several rainy days ahead, along with occasional fairer and breezy conditions.
Despite all the rain, the forecast indicates that total rainfall will likely remain below average for most areas across the island, leading to unpredictable weather patterns.
Stay Alert!
As Singapore navigates this unpredictable weather, residents are advised to remain vigilant and heed warnings. Flash floods can happen swiftly; taking precautionary measures can help ensure your safety.
