Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a significant boost! Patch 2.3 is set to launch on July 17, bringing thrilling updates across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. However, fans eagerly waiting on the Nintendo Switch 2 will have to sit this one out.

Paweł Sasko, the Associate Game Director, has unveiled that this patch will zero in on enhancing vehicles and customization options. According to Adrien Jouannet, Lead Designer at Virtuos—CD Projekt's support studio—players can expect the addition of three new cars, including the flashy Yaiba Semimaru from the Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown comic, alongside one groundbreaking customizable motorcycle. Unlocking these rides requires completing engaging quests, which Sasko assures will be "intuitive" to initiate. But don’t worry, these quests won’t interfere with those striving for 100% completion.

One standout feature in update 2.3 is the brand new AutoDrive system, allowing for hands-free driving. This cutting-edge feature automatically navigates your vehicle using a software update, letting you relax as you journey through Night City—though you’ll need to adhere to traffic laws and stop for red lights. If things get heated and combat breaks out, AutoDrive will halt, ensuring you're ready for action. Additionally, there’s a fun wandering mode where your vehicle can drive endlessly around the city, making it perfect for explorers!

For the visually inclined, the cinematic camera option during AutoDrive will heighten your experience, inspired by fan videos showcasing drives through Night City. Players can also use Photo Mode to capture perfect snapshots while enjoying these new features.

The patch brings new Photo Mode enhancements too! Gamers can now manipulate the time of day and weather conditions, alongside 27 new NPCs, fresh outfits, and poses for character photography. CD Projekt even teased an upcoming Photo Mode contest for crafty fans.

On the technical side, PC players will benefit from advanced graphics support, including AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3.1 Frame Generation and Intel XeSS 2.0 support starting tomorrow. Support for FSR 4 will soon follow, waiting for an AMD driver release. HDR10+ gaming and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) will also make their debut on console versions.

Additionally, CD Projekt is set to release the long-anticipated Mac version of Cyberpunk 2077 alongside the patch on July 17. However, there's no word yet on the extensively requested New Game Plus mode or new quests and characters.

As speculation rises, could this be the final update for Cyberpunk 2077? While CD Projekt has hinted that previous patches may draw a line under the nearly five-year-old game, there’s still the mystery of a potential update coinciding with the game's fifth anniversary this December.

In more exciting news, Cyberpunk 2 is now in pre-production, although fans may have to wait until late 2030 or early 2031 for its release. With so much happening, the world of Cyberpunk is as alive as ever!
