In a thrilling development for the scientific community, AGU Publications is set to welcome five new Editors-in-Chief (EiCs) to its esteemed journal program starting in 2025. This transition promises to uphold the standard of excellence established by their predecessors while also injecting fresh perspectives into the editorial team.

Among the newcomers, four of the editors have been selected to carry on the impactful work of their predecessors. Notably, one of the incoming EiCs has been serving as the Founding Editor for AGU's latest journal, JGR: Machine Learning and Computation, demonstrating exceptional leadership in just their inaugural year. They have now been appointed for a complete term, marking an exciting new chapter for this innovative publication.

As we usher in new leadership, it's essential to recognize the contributions of those who are stepping down. We extend our gratitude to the following outgoing Editors-in-Chief for their dedicated service: - **AGU Advances**: Susan Trumbore (Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry, Germany), EiC from 2019 until 2024. - **Geophysical Research Letters**: Harihar Rajaram (Johns Hopkins University, USA), serving from 2019 through July 2024, along with Minghua Zhang (Stony Brook University, USA), who will act as Interim EiC from July to December 2024. - **JGR: Earth Surface**: Amy East (United States Geological Survey, USA), EiC during 2019-2024. - **Radio Science**: Sana Salous (Durham University, UK), EiC from 2019-2024.

The search for new AGU journals EiCs is a systematic process conducted through an open call managed by Search Committees that include representatives from AGU Council Leadership, AGU Publications Committee, and AGU Publications staff. The final appointments are approved by the Council Leadership Team, ensuring a thorough and democratic selection process.

Anticipation is building as AGU Publications gears up for this leadership transition, promising to propel advancing scientific knowledge and continue fostering the collaborative spirit within the Earth and space sciences community. Stay tuned for more updates as these dynamic editors begin their terms!
