Anxious students and parents alike can mark their calendars! The results for the 2024 Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) will be released at 11 am on November 20, according to a recent joint statement from the Ministry of Education and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board.

Pupils will receive detailed instructions regarding the collection of their results directly from their schools. Those unable to physically collect their results on that day have the option to authorize someone else to pick them up on November 22.

In addition to their results, eligible students will receive the Secondary 1 (S1) Option Form, crucial for selecting their preferred secondary schools. For those looking to submit their school preferences, they can do so through the S1 Internet System, accessible from 11:30 am on November 20 until 3 pm on November 26. It's essential for students to use their unique S1 personal identification numbers located on the top-right corner of their forms.

Parents seeking assistance with the online submission process are encouraged to connect with their child’s primary school before the deadline on November 26.

As for the next step, the posting results are anticipated to be announced between December 18 and December 20 via SMS. Additionally, this information will also be available on the S1 Internet System and at each pupil’s primary school.

Pupils are not required to show up at their assigned secondary schools immediately after receiving their posting results. Instead, they can find all necessary information, such as reporting details, book lists, and uniform purchases, on the respective school's website.

Notably, since 2023, students have been assigned to secondary schools based on three distinct posting groups, reflecting previous streams: Normal (Technical), Normal (Academic), and Express. This new system is designed to better align students’ educational pathways with their skills and interests.

For students excited about hands-on, practical learning, those falling under posting groups 1 or the combined 1/2 option band may consider applying to Crest Secondary School (CSS) or Spectra Secondary School (SSS). Both schools provide tailored skills-based curriculums and unique learning opportunities, paving a clear path toward the Institute of Technical Education.

Interested pupils can apply directly to these specialized schools between November 20 and November 26, with application forms available at their primary schools or on the schools' respective websites.

It's crucial for these applicants to also submit the S1 Option Form to secure their preferred choices if they are not admitted to CSS or SSS. Successful applicants from CSS or SSS will receive notification by December 11, and their other school options will then be nullified.

For those considering admission to CSS or SSS without a direct application, there's still a chance! Simply include these schools as choices in the S1 Option Form for a shot at being considered.

Stay tuned and best of luck to all pupils on their upcoming PSLE results – the future looks bright!
