This creature has become an internet sensation, especially after its debut in Minecraft in 2021, triggering a whirlwind of axolotl plush toy sales!

A Marvelous Marine Sanctuary!

But the excitement doesn’t stop with the axolotl. This fascinating creature shares its home with a mottled brown-grey axolotl, showcasing the wonders of a critically endangered species native to Mexico's lakes and wetlands. The revamped Oceanarium has expanded from the former S.E.A. Aquarium, now tripling in size with 22 immersive zones that tell captivating stories of the ocean's past, present, and future.

Upon entering, visitors will be greeted by the enchanting Ocean Wonders zone, where sea jellies, known to have graced our oceans for over 500 million years, steal the spotlight. This newly enlarged gallery features a variety of jellyfish species, many nurtured by skilled aquarists. With sparkling cylindrical habitats delivering a 360-degree view, you can admire the fried-egg sea jellies up close, along with over 1,000 moon jellies in a mesmerizing 6.8m-wide tank!

The excitement continues in the Singapore's Coast zone, offering a unique ‘intertidal walk’ experience—without the soggy shoes! Here, you can marvel at local marine life, including spotted seahorses and bumblebee snails. Want to feel refreshed? Try the tank of skunk cleaner shrimps, who will gently cleanse your hands!

Familiar favorites are back, including the iconic Open Ocean exhibit.
