During a meticulous islandwide operation that spanned from May 13 to 30, law enforcement seized more than $200,000. The collaborative effort involved digital payments firm StraitsX, enhancing the police's ability to monitor and detect suspicious financial activities.

Initial findings indicate that the suspects were allegedly recruited to surrender their cryptocurrency accounts or Singpass credentials in exchange for cash payments—ranging from $400 to $3,000.
