SEOUL – Jungkook, the youngest member of the K-pop sensation BTS, is making waves with yet another groundbreaking achievement on Spotify.
On July 21, the 27-year-old superstar became the first-ever Asian solo artist to surpass a staggering 100 million streams on every original track released on his Spotify account, according to a report from the World Music Awards. Out of the 47 tracks associated with him, 18 are original songs, not counting remixes.
Jungkook stands alongside global icons Billie Eilish and Harry Styles as one of just three artists in history to hit this remarkable milestone.
His most-streamed song, "Seven" (2023), has shattered records with an impressive 2.4 billion streams. Trailing behind is "Standing Next To You" (2023) with 1.2 billion streams and the collaboration "Left And Right" (2022) featuring Charlie Puth, which has surpassed 1.1 billion streams.
"Seven" not only achieved the fastest streaming rates but also holds the title for the highest number of streams for any song by an Asian artist since Spotify's inception.
Jungkook's impressive solo career continues to break barriers. Recently recognized by the Guinness World Records, he became the fastest artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify, accomplishing this feat in just 409 days with only three solo releases.
As of now, his total Spotify streams have exceeded 9.2 billion, making him both the fastest Asian act and the first K-pop solo artist to reach this incredible landmark.
After wrapping up his mandatory military service on June 11, Jungkook is set for an exciting future with BTS. The group has announced plans for a new album and world tour, aiming to release in the spring of 2026, igniting anticipation among fans worldwide.
