Although currently undergoing treatment, Lauren is determined to encourage others to participate in the Shine Night Walk, a neon-lit charity event held across 16 cities in the UK, including Nottingham.

At just 31 years old, Lauren's journey has been anything but easy. After discovering a lump last summer, comprehensive testing revealed she carried the BRCA1 gene, significantly increasing her risk for various cancers. Following this diagnosis, Lauren underwent rigorous chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and ultimately, a double mastectomy.
