According to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA), between April 17 and April 21, these land checkpoints will be inundated with traffic. This long weekend is notorious for being the busiest of the year.

Staggering Stats!

Last year, over 1.8 million travellers crossed these borders during the Hari Raya Puasa long weekend. On the peak day alone, the number skyrocketed to more than 538,000! Expect similar chaos as nearly 2.3 million are forecasted to travel this Good Friday weekend.

If you're planning to hit the road, brace yourself for potential waits of up to three hours at peak times. To dodge the gridlock, consider opting for cross-border bus services which might provide a quicker alternative.
