Bishan Stadium to Accommodate 10,000 Fans!

SINGAPORE – Exciting changes are underway as Bishan Stadium ramps up its capacity to 10,000 in preparation for the Lion City Sailors' monumental Asian Champions League Two (ACL2) final against Sharjah FC on May 18. This strategic expansion is set to welcome a surge of fans, with stands being constructed on three sides of the stadium, increasing its capacity more than threefold from the current 2,800.

On a recent visit, workers were spotted actively assembling the north stand and finalizing the east stand, with cranes lifting materials into place. The south stand was already complete, showcasing the swift progress being made as the final approaches.

A Footie Showdown Like No Other!

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has provisionally approved Bishan Stadium to host this eagerly awaited final, with officials expected to conduct a final venue inspection this week. "This effort speaks volumes of the Sailors' commitment to making this historic occasion accessible to as many fans as possible," a club spokesperson shared.

Sailors chairman, Forrest Li, expressed the significance of the event, stating, "This final isn't just a milestone for the Sailors—it’s a celebration of Singapore football. We can't wait to see the stands packed and everyone rallying behind the team!" Tickets for this thrilling clash will go on sale via Sistic on May 6, with prices starting at just $26 for students and seniors.
