In a harrowing case that has sent shockwaves through Singapore, a bank analyst named Hee Lic Yuan has been sentenced for luring 31 girls and young women into compromising situations. On April 16, Hee received a hefty sentence of six years and nine months in prison, along with six strokes of the cane. He pleaded guilty to 15 counts, including the heinous act of sexually penetrating an underage girl and producing sexually explicit material involving a minor.

Hee’s disturbing tactics included enticing victims with the promise of being a 'sugar baby', a term typically used for younger individuals who seek financial compensation for companionship with wealthy older men. This enabled him to manipulate the lives of several young women who thought they were engaging in a consensual arrangement.

Start of a Disturbing Pattern

The unsettling pattern of Hee's actions seems to have begun around 2017, creeping into the DMs of a girl known as V2, who was a mere 15 years old at the time. Despite fully knowing her age, Hee proceeded to solicit nude images, offering cash in exchange. His initial offer was a staggering $150 for each video and $50 for photos, leading to a dangerously exploitative situation.

Threats and Coercive Control

After a paid encounter turned hostile, V2 bravely blocked Hee, which only incited more threats from him. He attempted to blackmail her by sending back her nude photo with an ultimatum, warning her of dire consequences if she didn’t comply with his financial demands.

Hee's predatory behavior expanded to include 10 additional victims, with one being just 13 years old and identified as V7 in court records. He approached her under similar pretenses, promising unimaginable rewards for photos, before resorting to coercion when she resisted.
