Preliminary reports from Sport Singapore (SportSG) reveal that a third participant violated safety protocols by loading a bow in the gallery, which led to the mishap. Fortunately, the injuries sustained were minor cuts, requiring only outpatient treatment—no stitches were necessary.

Paramedics on site acted quickly, providing immediate assistance to the injured participants, who completed their treatment shortly after. The competition was promptly halted, and a thorough emphasis on safety protocols was reiterated to all team managers and participants in the aftermath.
