Personal Experience

I decided to put this innovative platform to the test myself. After indicating my specific preferences—especially my fondness for opals—the AI created a delicate gold floral necklace that surpassed my expectations. With a seamless process from ordering to delivery, I received video updates on my custom piece within two weeks, complete with high-quality opals, much to the delight of my gemologist friend.

Current Limitations

However, the journey wasn’t without its challenges. The AI struggled to handle certain complexities in designs—like combining multiple charms onto a single necklace—and failed to generate intricate objects, such as a twenty-sided die, which demonstrates the current limitations in the technology's ability.

“While we strive for creativity, we must also consider manufacturability, which means constraining the models to align with what our artisans can produce,” Naficy explained during our conversation. Thankfully, Arcade AI includes an intuitive editing tool that allows users to refine their designs, adding a personal touch as needed.

For example, my custom-designed piece was priced at $186, with an additional $10 for shipping.
