In an emotional revelation, American actor Quang Minh, aged 65, addressed the scrutiny and ridicule surrounding his recent fatherhood with 37-year-old Tang Khanh Chi. "My fatherhood has become a subject for dissection and ridicule," Minh lamented, highlighting the unfair criticism that he's faced since the news of their child surfaced.

Minh expressed that many of his public comments have been manipulated, with critics attempting to dig up details from his past relationships. "This is the first time I’ve felt such a crisis, though I’ve done nothing wrong," he stated, emphasizing the distressing nature of these criticisms.

On November 6, Minh and Chi welcomed their son, Dustin, into the world. This new chapter comes as Minh already has two daughters, Vicky and Sophia, from his previous marriage to Vietnamese-American actress Hong Dao. Despite what appears to be a joyful occasion, the actor remarked that his life before Dustin's arrival was more stable, making the wave of negative comments particularly jarring.

In light of this situation, Minh has limited his use of Facebook to shield himself from harsh feedback and discussions that have become overwhelming. Nevertheless, he has found solace in the support of close friends and well-wishers who applaud Dustin for his striking resemblance to his father.

Initially wary of sharing his paternal joy, Minh eventually decided to go public about the birth, stating how his son's smile melted his hesitations. "I hope that Dustin will grow up to be proud of his father," he remarked. The actor's commitment to fatherhood is evident, especially as he has taken on most childcare duties since Chi underwent a cesarean section, receiving guidance from nurses and his girlfriend's mother.

His personal and professional lives have been radically altered since becoming a father anew. With only a few hours of sleep a night due to midnight diaper changes and a newborn's demands, Minh recalls fondly how he relished caring for his daughters despite the exhaustion. "Back when I was caring for my two daughters, I also liked to do everything for them, no matter how tired I was," he reflected.

At this time, the actor has put his career on hold, turning down various projects to concentrate fully on his family. However, he is aware of financial implications and intends to return to acting early next year, eyeing opportunities in film and commercials to secure a solid future for Dustin.

Having begun his acting career in the late 1980s, Minh moved to the United States around 1990, hoping to expand his career in both acting and voice-over work. His pairing with Hong Dao as a celebrated comedy duo brought him considerable fame until their divorce in 2019.

As Minh navigates the complexities of modern fatherhood and professional life, he stands strong against the waves of criticism, embracing his new role with resilience and love.
