In April 2024, Leanne traveled to Antalya, lured by the allure of affordable dental work. With an estimated UK quote of £50,000, she opted for a cash deal of just £3,000. However, the low price would come at an unimaginable cost.

Leanne underwent multiple procedures, including a sinus lift and a bone graft, all done under a local anaesthetic. Despite the numbing, she felt immense pain—"I felt a hammer smashing into the side of my face," she recalled.

Deteriorating Health

After the surgery, Leanne's condition worsened. What began as post-operative swelling quickly turned into a severe infection that made it impossible for her to breathe properly. Her NHS dentist subsequently refused treatment, citing warnings about seeking care abroad.

Unbearable Consequences

With no options left, Leanne sought help from private care, leading to alarming X-rays that revealed her implants were dangerously close to her nasal cavity. Temporary teeth were removed, but the infection persisted. Her plight escalated, requiring her to visit the Ear, Nose, and Throat unit at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, where specialists deemed it too risky to remove the implants.

Now, nearly 18 months later, Leanne battles continuous infections and relies on daily prescription medication. "The implants are holding my face together, but it’s all infected," she shared, desperately searching for a surgeon who can alleviate her suffering.
