In an unprecedented move, WWE's iconic WrestleMania is set to cross borders and touch down in Saudi Arabia for its 43rd edition in 2027. This landmark event is a part of Riyadh Season and marks the very first time WrestleMania will be hosted outside of North America.

A Rich History in Saudi Arabia

This isn't WWE's first rodeo in the Kingdom; it’s the second major premium live event planned for Saudi Arabia, following the Royal Rumble expected in January. Since signing a lucrative 10-year deal in 2018 worth around $50 million per event, WWE has made Saudi Arabia a key player in its international strategy.

An Expanding Partnership with Saudi Arabia

Mark Shapiro, COO of WWE’s parent company TKO, hinted at future collaborations during a JPMorgan conference, indicating that they aim to deepen their ties with Saudi Arabia in the forthcoming months. This includes launching a boxing promotion backed by big names like UFC’s Dana White.

A New Era for WrestleMania?

WrestleMania was last staged in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium in 2025, and it will make a return there next year. With Saudi Arabia hosting this global extravaganza, there’s a potential shift on the horizon for more international WrestleMania events.
