Scheduled to appear in court for an early release related to earlier gun charges from 2024, the boxer failed to show. His attorney, Michael Goldstein, expressed concern, admitting he had no clue about Chavez Jr.'s whereabouts. In a bewildering tweet, Goldstein stated, “We have no information, unfortunately.”

Chavez Jr. was last reported to be in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security in Hidalgo, Texas.
